Large ceiling fans move more air at a lower speed, so a big room stays comfortable without the fan working hard or making noise. This range starts at 60 inches (1520mm) and runs up to 120 inches (3050mm), built for open plan living areas, alfrescos, high ceilings, sheds and commercial spaces.
As a guide, a 60 inch fan suits rooms of around 20 to 30 square metres, 72 to 84 inch fans suit 30 to 50 square metres, and fans of 92 inches and above are made for spaces over 50 square metres or rooms with ceilings above 3 metres. Allow at least 2.1 metres from the floor to the blades and around 500mm between the blade tips and any wall or pendant.
