Magnets work well on existing metal housing where available, three settings for warm/cold are handy too.
Was looking for somthing like this for ages to convert a circular florescent light on a fan which I couldn't find parts for. The LED Oyster Conversion Kit worked as advertised and was easily adapted to convert a laboratory Maggylamp magnifier from operating with a circular fluorescent lamp to operating with a fully adjustable circular LED. I saved the lamp from the garbage heap saved myself at least $330.
