Low power LED strip, 4.8w per metre, 12v, IP67
A gentle warm white strip for ambient and accent lighting, this Eurotech strip uses just 4.8w per metre and sits in UV resistant silicone rated IP67. That makes it a good fit for bathrooms, laundries and covered outdoor areas as well as dry rooms.
Use it for soft lighting along cabinetry, shelving, joinery, coves and feature areas where you want a warm glow rather than bright task light.

Choosing a driver
Allow 4.8w for every metre and add about 20% headroom. A full 5 metre run draws 24w, so a 30w 12v driver is the right size. For longer installs, split the strip into runs of 5 metres or less and feed each one separately. This strip is not dimmable. In wet or outdoor areas, use a weatherproof IP66 or IP67 driver or keep the driver under cover.
Mounting and heat
At 4.8w per metre this strip runs cool, but an aluminium profile still gives it the best protection and the longest life. Choose a profile at least 11mm wide inside to suit the 10mm strip. Reseal every cut end with an end cap and silicone to keep the IP67 rating, and make any joins in wet areas inside a waterproof connector or junction box.
