Dotless COB LED strip, 4.8w per metre, 3000k warm white
320 COB chips per metre blend into one soft, continuous line, so you get the look of a diffused strip with no hotspots, even where the strip can be seen. The warm 3000k tone gives a relaxed, inviting glow.

Choosing a driver
Allow 4.8w for every metre of strip and add about 20% headroom. A full 5 metre run draws 24w, so it needs a 24v driver of at least 29w, which in practice means a 30w driver. For longer installs, split the strip into runs of 5 metres or less and give each run its own feed. The 30 metre roll is supplied as one reel, so plan your runs before cutting. To dim the strip, pair it with a dimmable 24v driver and a compatible dimmer.
Mounting and heat
At 4.8w per metre this strip runs cool, but the warranty requires it to be installed on an aluminium heat dissipating surface, so mount it in an aluminium profile. The profile protects the strip, carries away what heat there is and extends its life. Choose a profile at least 9mm wide inside to suit the 8mm strip. The COB line is already dot free, so a diffuser is optional and simply softens it further.
