A simple, dependable 12v strip with 60 LEDs per metre and an IP54 rating, so it can go where a little moisture is likely. The warm 3000k tone gives a soft, homely glow.
Use it around bathroom vanities and mirrors, in laundries, under kitchen cabinets and in sheltered outdoor nooks. It runs from a 12v constant voltage driver and is cut to the length you order.

Choosing a driver
Allow 4.8w for every metre of strip and add about 20% headroom. A full 5 metre run draws 24w, so it needs a 12v constant voltage driver of at least 29w, which in practice means a 30w driver. For longer installs, split the strip into runs of 5 metres or less and give each run its own feed. In damp or exposed spots, use a weatherproof IP66 or IP67 driver or keep the driver under cover. To dim the strip, use a compatible 12v LED dimming controller rated for the load.
Mounting and heat
This strip must be mounted on an aluminium heat sink or in an aluminium profile. The aluminium carries heat away from the LEDs, protects the strip and extends its life, and a diffuser gives a softer line of light. Choose a profile at least 9mm wide inside to suit the 8mm strip.
IP54 rated, so it suits damp or sheltered locations. Keep it out of direct rain and standing water.
