Side mounted LED strip, 7.7w per metre, 5500k daylight
A side emitting strip in bright 5500k daylight: the LEDs sit on the edge of the 6mm tape, so the light travels sideways from the fixing surface. That lets you light workbenches, shelves and displays from narrow or recessed positions.
It suits workspaces, garages, retail shelving and any area that needs clear, crisp visibility. 96 LEDs per metre give smooth, directional light. Available per metre or as a 20 metre roll.

Choosing a driver
Allow 7.7w for every metre of strip and add about 20% headroom. A 5 metre run draws 38.5w, so it needs a 12v driver of at least 47w, which in practice means a 60w driver. No maximum run length is published for this strip, so split longer installs into separate runs, each with its own feed. The 20 metre roll is supplied as one reel, so plan your runs before cutting. To dim the strip, pair it with a dimmable 12v driver and a compatible dimmer.
Mounting and heat
Aim the LED edge of the strip toward the area you want lit, and mount it on aluminium where you can. An aluminium profile draws heat away from the LEDs, protects the strip and extends its life. If the strip lies flat in the profile, choose one at least 7mm wide inside to suit the 6mm strip.
