Since this light was advertised with an E27 Edison screw and for bulbs of up to 28 Watts, I blithely assumed it would take a standard size Edison light bulb. I was wrong! The globe's hole for the light bulb is only around 45mm wide, and frustratingly, the globe is 2mm-3mm too small for standard slimline globes from Phillips, Mirabella, etc. Osram has some slimline LED bulbs that just fit, but their 10w 1100 lm bulb is only available in cool white. Thus to date the best I have been able to do is Osram's variable K 8w bulb giving 750 lm in warm white. The light fitting is attractive and well-made, and the available bulbs give good light for a stairwell or a bedroom alcove, although not for even a small room. It would be good if either Marsten made the light with a slightly larger globe, or else if on-line vendors made clear in their product details what size light bulbs can be used, perhaps with links to suitable available bulbs.
