The Nella surface mounted LED downlight delivers a sleek, contemporary lighting solution with reliable performance. Finished in durable powder-coated aluminium, it suits both residential and commercial interiors. The included honeycomb lens helps minimise glare while maintaining a focused light output. 12v model must be used with a suitable 12v DC LED Driver

Choosing a driver

The 12v DC version runs on low voltage and needs a 12v LED driver, installed by a licensed electrician. The 240v version wires straight to mains and does not need a driver.

Allow 12w for each downlight and add about 20% headroom. 4 downlights draw 48w, so they need a 12v driver of at least 58w, which in practice means a 60w driver.

For bigger installs, split the lights across two or more drivers and place each driver close to its group. Long cable runs at low voltage lose brightness at the far end, so check your cable size with our voltage drop calculator.

Indoors, an indoor 12v driver mounted in the ceiling space works well. If the light is going outdoors or under eaves, use a weatherproof IP66 12v driver.

To dim, pair it with a dimmable 12v driver and a compatible dimmer.

Good looking ceiling canisters
These good looking ceiling canisters look very smart and discrete, unlike pendants, and light the island bar nicely. We chose the white canister, warm white glow and with the optional brass insert to match our decor. Very happy.
