Choosing a driver
This cabinet light runs on 12v DC, so it needs a 12v LED driver (sometimes called a transformer). It cannot connect straight to 240v mains. The driver is wired in by a licensed electrician.
Allow 3w for each cabinet light and add about 20% headroom. 10 cabinet lights draw 30w, so they need a 12v driver of at least 36w, which in practice means a 60w driver.

For bigger installs, split the lights across two or more drivers and place each driver close to its group. Long cable runs at low voltage lose brightness at the far end, so check your cable size with our voltage drop calculator.
Indoors, an indoor 12v driver mounted in the ceiling space works well. If the light is going outdoors or under eaves, use a weatherproof IP66 12v driver.
