Choosing a driver
This light runs on 12v DC, so it needs a 12v LED driver (sometimes called a transformer). It cannot connect straight to 240v mains. The driver is wired in by a licensed electrician.
Each light draws 2 x 3w, so allow 6w per light and add about 20% headroom. 8 lights draw 48w, so they need a 12v driver of at least 58w, which in practice means a 60w driver.

For bigger installs, split the lights across two or more drivers and place each driver close to its group. Long cable runs at low voltage lose brightness at the far end, so check your cable size with our voltage drop calculator.
Outdoors, use a weatherproof IP66 12v driver and mount it above ground, clear of garden beds and pooling water.
To dim, pair it with a dimmable 12v driver and a compatible dimmer.
