Choosing a driver

This light runs on 12v DC, so it needs a 12v LED driver (sometimes called a transformer). It cannot connect straight to 240v mains. The driver is wired in by a licensed electrician.

Allow 1.4w for each light and add about 20% headroom. 10 lights draw 14w, so they need a 12v driver of at least 17w, which in practice means a 30w driver.

For bigger installs, split the lights across two or more drivers and place each driver close to its group. Long cable runs at low voltage lose brightness at the far end, so check your cable size with our voltage drop calculator.

Indoors, an indoor 12v driver mounted in the ceiling space works well. If the light is going outdoors or under eaves, use a weatherproof IP66 12v driver.

Great mini wall light
Looks great on pool wall at night.
Tend to show some corrosion over time but can be polished out.
