Solar Deck Lights

Solar deck lights add safety and ambience to decks, steps, patios and pathways — with no wiring and no running costs. They charge by day and light up automatically at night. Choose from recessed in-deck lights and surface-mounted styles, all from quality solar brands built for New Zealand conditions.

Types of solar deck lights

• Recessed in-deck lights — flush, walk-over lighting for steps and deck boards.
• Surface-mounted deck lights — easy-fit lighting for posts, rails and edges.
• Solar spike lights — for adjacent garden beds and borders.

How to choose solar deck lights

• Recessed vs surface: recessed for a clean walk-over finish; surface for easy retrofitting.
• Walk-over rating: check the load rating for in-deck lights.
• Brightness & colour: warm, low-glare light suits decks and steps.
• IP rating: IP65+ for exposed, ground-level positions — see our IP rating guide.
