Frequently Asked Questions

When should I book my electrician?

You should only book your electrician once your stock has been fully delivered, then checked against the invoice, to ensure all products are as ordered, only at this point should you book an electrician.

How long does my lighting order normally take from when I order?

The Lighting Outlet processes all orders next business day and once this is done it can take from 1/2 a day up to 10 days for delivery depending where you are located. If you purchase one line of products with low value they tend to be processed and sent quicker unlike very large orders with many different products naturally take more time process and dispatch. Please go off below as a guide and approximate.

Do I require to create an account to buy?

No, you may checkout as a guest. However, it is better to sign up with your email so that you can receive order and delivery updates.

Are all of your products new and unused?

Yes, all products are sold brand new, only if it is clearly stated otherwise.

What does the clearance products mean? Is there something wrong with them?

The Lighting Outlet caters for every budget, we will purchase end of line products from manufacturers, we then pass on at wholesale prices and sometimes even much lower. The only reason a manufacturer will make a product end of line and discontinue it, is because it's no longer selling enough or in style. The products are still in 100% working perfect order. 

What payment methods can I use?

We currently accept EFT, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Pay Pal, Zip Pay, Afterpay, Apple Pay & Google Pay. 

Do you hold my card detail information?

No we do not. All credit card information is held with the banks and if a refund is processed it will just reverse back into your account. We can not take any further money on top of your payment. 

Is your website safe?

The Lighting Outlet is very strong on keep sensitive information safe. If you notice at the top the address bar on the left, this says HHTPS with a little padlock, this is a service we pay for to keep our store encrypted from hackers etc. Never trust online stores without this.

After the order is placed

After your order is placed you will receive an email with a confirmation and invoice. If you need to contact The Lighting Outlet about your order please have your order number at the top of this confirmation email ready, otherwise there will be delays. 

Can I track my order?

Yes you can, once your order has been processed, you will then receive a email or text with the tracking numbers. We mainly use star track for interesate and larger orders, couriers please for Sydney orders.

Product Changes

The Lighting Outlet tries very hard to have every product up to date and matching all photos and specifications, however suppliers will alter products from time to time without any notice. Images can sometimes differ also, these should be used as a guide, pictures are hard to represenet to what it will exactly be like.

Do all of your products comply to Australian standards?

Every single product The Lighting Outlet 100% complies with Australian standards, we are very strong on this. We only purchase from the best brands from Australia and around the world. 

What if there is something wrong with my order when received?

If there is anything wrong with your order when you received it, such as damages or wrongly supplied, email customerservice@thelightingoutlet.com.au no longer then 7 days after it has been received. We will typically send a courier to collect and once collected, then we will resend the goods. 

Can my order be sent via express service?

Yes, please call the office on 02 9666 3838 and we can arrange an overnight service, extra charges will apply. 

Can I pick up my order?

Yes, in the checkout you will have the option to select pick up from our Matraville warehouse. 

Do you have everything on display?

No, we currently have over 15,000 products on our website, this means it's impossible to have everything on display. Please call ahead to see if we have on display to avoid dissapointment. 

Do your products come with warranty?

Yes, all of our products come with warranty. Each manufacturer will have different warranties for each product, a small amount will come with a 1 year warranty, however, majority will include a minimum 2 years warranty, check each individual product page for warranties. All warranties will only apply for all hard wired products installed by licensed electricians. Warranty does not include for wear and tear. Some products will require maintenance, so it is a good idea for you to research on particaly the material to get the longest jeverty. 

Do you have free shipping?

Yes, for orders valued over $100, you will receive free freight. 

I can't find the product im after?

If you are having troubles locating the right product then give us a call on 02 9666 3838, there is a good chance we can source it. The Lighting Outlet has access to over 15,000 lighting products worldwide. 

What if i'm not home when delivery is attempted?

The courier will leave a card for instructions on arranging another delivery or a pick up. If you don't think you will be home please tick the box in the checkout for the courier to leave somewhere safe.
