Series 2 56" Is a Much better fan than old one. We have 2 of the first model as well and wile we liked them enough to get a couple new ones. they did have issues at middle speeds (hum+ vibration) we only really used the extremes so it didn't matter much to us. New S2 has solved noise/vibration issues and is easier to install, still looks great and moves huge amounts of air. Perfect!
