The setup is as simple as any when setting up festoon lights, however, for this one you need to attach the globes separately. That's not a problem if you have the time and patience. What's not so likeable about this product is the lights work on screw in bulbs and several lights have turned themselves off. You have to tinker with the amount you screw the bulbs in to find the "sweet spot" where they remain on. I haven't had them long but it keeps happening and it's been a few weeks now. Some globes blew when I first switched them on.
